Greg Crocker is a Californian who grew up in Watsonville, California (near Santa Cruz, CA), where he spent the first 30 years of his life. Greg’s dad owned the local “Pronto Pup” drive-in. This was the cruise hangout for teenagers. On weekends, the guys with their “cool cars” would cruise in and out of the parking lot. Dad had curb service (remember those days?). Roll down your window and the car hop would hang your tray of burgers and sodas on your window. Later, dad opened the A&W drive-in and this became the next hangout. In those days, there were no McDonalds, Burger Kings, or Taco Bells.

Greg’s family spent evenings and weekends at Pinto Lake located only a few miles from our house. My dad loved driving his hot rod boats and mother along with my two older brothers grew up water-skiing. Every year we looked forward to yearly camping trips to Lake Shasta in Northern California. What great memories, visiting Shasta Dam, skiing up the Sacramento, Pit and McCloud rivers, camping on the lake and waiting for the bears to show up in the late hours of the night.

In 1958, when Greg was 11 his parents and two older brothers (Dick and Ted) went to a conference at Mt Hermon to hear Billy Graham. The entire family accepted Christ that July summer day. That day, God forgave our sins and freely gave us never-ending life. A few years later at Hume Lake camp, Greg gave his life to God to use in full-time Christian work. Once he took the call, Greg’s life was changed forever.

Greg met his wife, Kay, at a Bible study he was leading when she was 16 years old. Three years later, he married a radiantly beautiful Christ-like woman on June 16, 1972. God gave them three children, Scott, Jeff and Kristy. The Crockers served the Lord for almost 30 years starting with youth (Jr. High, High School and College), and later they pastored three churches, one in Nevada and two in California.

On January 31, 2006, God brought Greg & Kay’s 25-year-old son, Jeffrey, home to Heaven. Greg says he's looking forward to being with Jeff and one day see his precious son again and spend eternity with him.
